Note An advertisement in the Massachusetts centinel, Boston, Nov. 6, 1784, states that Moyes is postponing his course of lectures in natural history until spring. This series was Moyes's second; a series of twenty-one lectures in "philosophical chemistry" was advertised in the Centinel of June 9, 1784. Cf. Bristol B5928.
